Social Media for Coffee Shops
An effective social media presence is an essential tool for ANY BUSINESS. Whether you're a self-employed Barista operating from a van, or running a coffee shop with several staff. We can help you communicate and represent yourself through the main social media platforms and provide regular content updates on your behalf, leaving you to crack on with work and customer satisfaction.
Social media can be used for coffee shops to accommodate a variety of customer expectations as well as promoting the business itself. Sure, great looking pictures of coffee and cake are needed, but there is a lot more you can feature on social media, including:
What food do you serve? Do you have a menu?
Do you do deliver?
Positive customer reviews
Do you offer non-dairy milk?
Are you trying to be eco-friendly with cups/boxes?
Do you sell your coffee by the bag in beans or ground?
Do you have a loyalty card?
Do you work with local suppliers?
Do you do external catering?
Does your coffee shop have a unique view? i.e. by the riverside, the beach, gardens etc
All of these types of queries can be used to create content that breaks up the day-to-day picture of coffee and cake and helps reach your customers without banging the same drum over and over. Some even work as triggers that may generate direct custom.

Why upgrade your social media feed?
It's important to use social media to communicate who you are. If every coffee shop posts photos of coffee and cake and latte art, then what influences a customer to visit YOUR shop? Are customers raving about your hot food? Post those reviews, show people what customers are saying! Do you offer discount to elderly customers? Say it. Local community centres will be inclined to share your content to serve their audience and community.
The power of social media
Does your staff wear uniforms or branded clothing? Are they presentable?
If so, show it off with photos. Because if you're showing off your staff looking the part, and your competitors aren't, it elevates you above them. It shows you're proud of how they look, and customers get a sense of what to expect. If a company isn't happy to reveal their staff, it leaves customers thinking, why? Will they be scruffy, and will that reflect their approach to their work? i.e. messy, untidy, bad coffee, sloppy sandwiches!
Do you have great customer reviews?
If so, show them off! If you have great reviews, showcase them. When a company isn't showing off their positive reviews, customers think why? Don't they have good reviews? Surely if they did, they would be shouting about it.
High quality photos of staff at work
An iPhone allows for quick and easy photos, but the eye of a photographer and a little extra equipment can tell much more of a story in a single image that will help communicate your work. A photo of someone at work can show their dedication to the job, concentration or their friendly, approachable demeanour. Also, people these days expect to be able to see exactly where they're going on social media before they leave the house. Is your shop bright, comfortable, clean, cosy etc.
